How to make nectar?

  • The recommended ratio of suger to water is 1:4. You should follow the guid of suger you bought.
  • Heating is not necessary, but suger must be dissolved.

Some Tips

How to guard against bees?

  1. Buy a hummingbird feeder with small feeding ports like ours, so bees can't walk through to get the nectar then bees will not hang around once they cannnot get the nectar to feed.
  2. Bees like feeding in sunny areas. Place feeder in shady location, this also help the nectar cool and slows the fermentation process.
  3. Clean off the suger drips on the sides while filling. Drips have a scent that attracts the bees towards the feeder.

  • Please note that some hummingbirds have sense of territory. If there are more hummingbirds, you may need more hummingbird feeders.
  • Please tighten the base to prevent leaks before hanging.
